Get ready for a food-and-culture adventure through Morocco!

We’ll dive into Marrakech’s energy, explore the High Atlas Mountains, share tea with an Amazigh family, shop one-of-a-kind pieces at a local rug cooperative, and spend a night glamping in the Sahara.

We’ll eat so well... think cooking classes and unforgettable meals along the way. A few easy hikes are included; you just need to be steady on your feet for a couple of hours.

This trip is for you if you’re hungry for local food, curious about Amazigh culture, eager to explore beyond the city, and ready to bring home a rug (or two).

Trip Highlights

True Local Flavor

We’ll take an epic cooking class at one of my all-time favorite cooking schools, have dinner in the Sahara desert, share tea with an Amazigh family, and stop for incredible local bites.

Mountain & Desert Escapes

Step beyond the city and wander the High Atlas Mountains, explore the sweeping Sahara, visit a rug cooperative for one-of-a-kind finds, and even get outside

Moments of Luxury
We’ll stay in beautiful, handpicked riads and one of my favorite countryside escapes in Morocco. This trip blends comfort and ease in all the right ways, with space to rest, soak in the scenery, and enjoy the journey together.

Why Take This Trip With Me?

My Morocco Expertise
Hi I'm Anela, creator, author, traveler, and host! I've crafted this itinerary using my extensive background in Morocco. I first went to Morocco 15 years ago for a year-long study abroad and it's been one of my favorite places to visit ever since. 2026 Morocco trips have been carefully updated to offer you the best experience possible.

Come Solo, Leave With Friends

People are what set these trips apart. My group experiences are designed for women who want more: more connection, more culture, more meaning. We’re a diverse crew, with women from all walks of life who show up curious and ready to explore.

Don't just take it from me, here's feedback from one of my recent trips:
"This is my fourth trip with Anela/feedthemalik which speaks for itself. The planning, effort and coordination that goes into each trip is always appreciated and always creates a sense of community that I always enjoy. Thank you for being an amazing host and providing a space to create lifetime memories and friendships."

Things To Note

Safety
Safety is relative, but in our experience yes, Morocco is safe. The US State Department Travel Advisory for Morocco is Level 2: Exercise Caution, the same as it is for Spain and France.

Dietary Restrictions
We can accommodate vegetarian travelers and most allergies or restricted diets throughout the trip. For vegan travelers, options may be limited—especially in remote areas like the Sahara and smaller towns. As we get closer to departure, we’ll check with our local partners about available meal alternatives. Your Tour Leader will also be happy to assist with purchasing suitable items from local shops when needed.

LGBTQ+ Travelers
Morocco does not have strong public support for LGBTQ+ rights, and discretion is strongly advised while traveling. Larger cities such as Marrakech—often considered more liberal—are generally viewed as relatively safe for LGBTQ+ travelers who respect local customs and avoid public displays of affection. Many visitors report warm, welcoming interactions with locals, though there have been isolated reports of harassment and arrests, particularly affecting women, so additional caution is recommended. Throughout the trip, our dedicated tour leader will work to ensure that there's a safe and enjoyable environment for all travelers.
